A Know-How Transfer And Licensing will be done at the Technology up-scaling Centre (TuC) at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Technology up-scaling Centre (TuC) is a centre conceptualized by Solar Urja through Localization for Sustainability (SoULS) Initiative, a flagship program of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay (www.soulsiitb.in). This centre deploys the technologies at a scale that resolves a globally relevant social problem and can be replicated in multiple geographical locations. This centre is a key enabler to deploy the technological solutions that are at a ‘prototype’ stage to ‘ready for adoption’ stage.
This licensing aims at technology transfer, which will allow participants to understand the solar PV cookstove technology. They will be able to have a coherence of its design, performance, working, and its related market potential. Participants will be able to get an in-depth understanding of the technology transfer process.
The licensing will impart knowledge regarding solar PV cookstove technology. It will help the parties to understand the complete cycle of the process of technology transfer and commercialization. This exclusive one-day Know-How Transfer And Licensing is organized at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay on 15th September 2018. The participation in this Know-How Transfer And Licensing is open to all institutions and entities interested in getting an understanding of the working of the solar PV cookstove. These entities can be and not restricted to NGOs, Micro Enterprises, Small Enterprises, and Medium Enterprises.
The major focus of this Know-How Transfer And Licensing will be the technology transfer of the solar PV cookstove award-winning prototype developed by the SoULS Team, IIT Bombay. Technology transfer and its related licensing have played a crucial role in the overall development of the technology which in results in the economic growth of the country. Further, technology transfer has a great importance to bridge the gap between the developing and deploying the technology related products.
The Know-How Transfer And Licensing will be conducted in three broad sessions, the first session will include the demonstration of the award-winning prototype solar PV cookstove developed by SoULS team, IIT Bombay. This session will be followed by a session on the design, performance, and Market of the solar PV cookstove. The final session will be on the introduction to technology transfer, assessment, and contracts
A one time registration fee of Rs. 15,000/- for all the instituions is applicable. The fee structure for various institutions and entities is given below:
Know-How Transfer Fee : 0.50 Lakhs + 1.5% Royalty on sales
Know-How Transfer Fee : 1 Lakhs + 1.5% Royalty on sales
Know-How Transfer Fee : 2.5 Lakhs + 0.75% Royalty on sales
Know-How Transfer Fee : 5 Lakhs + 0.4% Royalty on sales
The payment for the Know-How Transfer Fees will be conditional on the attendance of the third session of the Know-How Transfer And Licensing in which the participants will be given Technology Transfer Package. This technology package will include:
